About Me

Krystin Youngju Smith

I am a contemporary artist studying the studio art program in drawing and painting at the University of North Texas. I have a deep passion for art, and creating art allows me to be true to myself and express my creativity. As an artist, I believe there is a deeper meaning and purpose behind the beauty we see in the world. In my artwork, I strive to capture this essence and create something that goes beyond the surface level of what we see around us. My thematic focus is on depicting beauty and meaning in everyday life. I use drawing and painting as well as photographing images to express my emotions toward objects, nature, and people. I experiment with different techniques, mediums, and color palettes to bring out the unique qualities of my subjects.
