About Me

Krystin Youngju Smith

I am a contemporary artist working in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media, creating abstract and expressive works that invite viewers to experience both joy and reflection. Through layers of color, texture, and movement, I aim to create a sense of discovery where each viewer can find personal meaning and connect with their own stories.

For me, art is not only a form of self-expression but also a way to bring light, inspiration, and beauty into people’s lives. My hope is that my work offers moments of joy, peace, and a journey into the unknown, allowing viewers to discover something new each time they engage with the piece.

I will complete my BFA in Studio Art at the University of North Texas in Fall 2025, and I continue to expand my creative practice as both an artist and art educator.
