Krystin-Youngju Smith is a contemporary classical artist working in watercolor, acrylic, photography, and mixed media. Her work explores the threshold between the visible and the invisible, inviting viewers to reflect, discover, and encounter beauty within both the seen and the unseen.

Her practice moves between surreal photography, abstraction, and representational portraiture and landscape, unified by a sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and quiet narrative. Whether capturing a fleeting memory or shaping an abstract vision, each piece is rooted in wonder, emotion, and a search for deeper meaning and connection.

After fifteen years as an educator in the United States, Germany, and South Korea, Smith earned her BFA in Studio Art from the University of North Texas in 2025. Her work has been exhibited in juried and group exhibitions throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where she has received First Place and Honorable Mention awards. In addition to her studio practice, she creates commissioned works, portraits, and custom pieces, seeking to capture the unique spirit of each subject and offer a sense of hope, beauty, and presence.
