June 2023 Work

This painting seeks to capture the essence of Prague's Charles Bridge and Old Town. I focus on capturing the impression of the bridge, the tower, and its surroundings. This painting is based on a photo from a family trip in 2015
This painting draws inspiration from my childhood memories. It serves both as a tribute to the World Trade Center and as a representation of a young girl – a reflection of myself – yearning to explore faraway places like New York.
Inspired by this summer course on the History of Architecture and Design of New York Skyscrapers, I created a watercolor painting of the World Trade Center area. The painting, measuring 19 1/2 by 28 1/2 inches, contrasts the memory of 9/11 with the resilience shown in the rebirth of the One World Trade Center. Ghostly images of the old Twin Towers hover in the sky, their ethereal reflections mirrored in the tranquil Hudson River below, forming a spiritual bridge between past and present.
